POOCH Receives Grants
POOCH DIRECTOR Joan Dalton and veterinarian Dr. Sal Jepson attended a reception hosted by
Banfield
Charities on May 25 to honor Banfield's grant recipients.
In 2005, the Banfield Charitable Trust gave Project POOCH a $15,000 grant to develop canine health education for
the youth.
The funds enabled Dr. Jepson to design a series of self-paced, computer-guided training modules on canine healthcare topics and career opportunities in petcare.
This year POOCH received an additional grant of $5,000 from the
Juan Young Trust to continue development of the computer training modules.
In May, we received a $1,500 grant for general support from the Jeffrey V. and Anne P. Hill Family Fund,
The Oregon Community Foundation.
Most recently, POOCH was awarded an operational grant of $15,000 a year for three years by the Karen M. Schroth Charitable Foundation for Animals.
