REDD
Male, Hound / Heeler Mix
1-1/2 years old
Redd is a high energy dog and needs lots of exercise (he loves to chase balls).
He has recently demonstrated his ability to track pheasants!
He is great with other
dogs. He has excellent manners, but he is choosy about people so he will need
a vote on who's "right" for him. He
would do well with a single owner.
Redd has
all his shots and a micro-chip and he's been neutered. He is working on his
Canine Good Citizen Certificate and is house trained. [

DOMINO
Male, Heeler / Lab Mix
1-1/2 years old, 61 pounds
Domino was abandoned by his previous owners in a field, left to fend
for himself for 2 months before he was finally
rescued and sent to Project POOCH.
In spite of everything, Domino loves to be around people! He enjoys
the outdoors where he can run and play. He likes to chase the ball,
but his
handler is teaching him how to bring it back. He's passed
his Canine Good Citizens test. He's a smart boy who enjoys learning
new tricks, and he likes other dogs. He just ignores cats.
This handsome boy is looking for a home where they will love him and keep
him forever. [

Kiera
Female, Lab Mix
3 years old, 65 pounds
This sporty gal has been a Project POOCH for many months and really wants
to find her forever home. She is a very loving dog that bonds with people
very quickly. Her trainer says that she is very mellow and a low-maintenence
dog.
She will be protective of her family, so she needs to be introduced to new
people that come to the house. She likes
dogs that are mellow and won't jump on her, but doesn't get along with cats.

CALLA LILLY
Female,
Weimaraner/Lab Mix
10 months old
Lilly is a smart girl and POOCH's most recent Canine Good Citizen graduate!
If you choose Lilly, she will be your BFF (Best
Friend Forever). She is a fantasic cuddle buddy and will be your loyal companion.
Lilly wants to be the only girl in the family, so she can't go to a home
where there is another female dog. With proper introductions, she would enjoy
having a brother.
Since Lilly is still young,
she would do best in a home with children over 10 years of age – not
because she doesn't like small fry, but because her size and bouncy exuberance
could be overwhelming for smaller children. Lilly would like a nice, quiet,
peaceful home with no cats.

Molly
Female, Greyhound
2 years old, 59 pounds
Molly is a sweet, sweet girl. She is a little shy in new situations,
but once she warms up she is a very loving. She just adores being next to
you and being petted.
She has such a gentle personality that she would
be very good around children of all ages. She is good around other
dogs.

Sheridan
Male, Black Lab
3 years old, 70 pounds
I am a big boy but I have stopped growing since I am now three years of
age and weigh a solid 70 lbs. I used to live at the coast and ended up in
the shelter there but no one adopted me because I lacked basic obedience
training. I was hoping someone with some patience would take me in
but sadly, no one did.
Then I was sent to the Humane Society of the Willamette Valley where I started
getting somewhere with training. After several months, the shelter
people called Project POOCH and asked if they might have room to bring me
in and provide further training. When I heard I was going to Project
POOCH, I got so excited because it meant I would get long walks and training
to make me adoptable. I like to grab at my leash when I am starting
my walks but I was told: "those days are over."
Due to my size, a home with little kids is
not advisable.

Otis
Male, Boxer
2 years old, 53 lbs
Ah, it's good to be young and handsome! I love
people and enjoy children, but because I'm pretty good sized (and quite energetic)
I'd be best with kids 6 yrs and up. I get along well with other dogs, too.
But cats? Not so much.
I have had my vaccinations
and am progressing in my training. I get to go to a new home once I pass my
canine good citizen test! I am SO pumped!

Hudson
Male, Mastiff/Great Dane Mix
5 years old, 80 lbs
Look DEEEEEP into my eyes......you WAAAANT to take me home...
I am a very polite guy and I will soon be a graduate with a Canine Good
Citizen certificate! I am in jail because I like to chase livestock, so I
need a home far away from where the buffalo roam.

Bodie
Male, Aussie Mix
1-1/2 years old
My previous owner had way too many dogs and wanted me to be a sled dog in
sunny Oregon! The sheriff said "No way!" so here I am at POOCH, hanging out
with the other dogs when I'm not in training.
I am the quiet type that just wants a home so I can show you what a great
guy I am.
By the way, I am smart: five A's and one B on my report card! [
