How to Help
TO VOLUNTEER | TO DONATE

How to Help Initial funding to establish Project POOCH, Inc.® and build a fenced training area came from private grants and the Delta Society. The construction and remodeling of the K-9 building was done by building trades students under the direction of their instructor, Fred Mitchell. Since then, additional educational facilities and kennel construction have been made possible by generous gifts from Jean Vollum, Sophie Englehard-Craighead, and Frank and Julie Jungers.

DONATIONS:
Although Project POOCH rents kennel space at a state facility, we do not receive government funding so individual support is essential to our program. Any donation, no matter how small, makes a big difference!

Spaying and neutering all the dogs is our major expense. Donations also help to buy collars, leashes, brushes and dog shampoo, vitamins, dog food (canned and dry), blankets, towels, and cleaning supplies.

Bonding VOLUNTEERS:
We welcome professionals willing to share their expertise as veterinarians, groomers, trainers and presenters. The youth look forward to speakers and have learned so much from representatives of the Police K-9 unit, Guide Dogs for the Blind, and Dog Search and Rescue, just to name a few of the groups who have visited.

We also need volunteers to help with fund-raising, to help mail newsletters, to write grants, to represent Project POOCH at events, etc.. The youth appreciate receiving instruction on how to create products to sell to benefit the program, and getting business advice on ways to market their products.

If you are willing to volunteer, here is our VOLUNTEER APPLICATION FORM in PDF format. (Adober Reader required - Click here to download for free.)

Or you can contribute now at our web site - just click the donation button below to make a secure PayPal donation. Project POOCH is a 501c(3) non-profit program, and your donation is tax-deductible. We are grateful for any amount, large or small, that you give.

Please note: PayPal charges a nominal processing fee. If you prefer to avoid this fee, please send your contribution by mail to:
